Job Description

The Opportunity

You will be working on a variety of geotechnical projects, within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists and other professionals.

 

It is a full-time role; however, consideration will be given to part-time working arrangements. We offer flexible working patterns and reward schemes for our staff.

 

The following key responsibilities will be expected from a candidate considered for this role:

  • Supervise ground investigation activities, including subcontractors, and undertake soil and rock logging.
  • Contribute to the preparation of high-quality geotechnical reports for a broad range of clients across the private sector and at all levels of government.
  • Represent Kleinfelder at an industry level by participating in forums and be working towards membership of professional institutions.
  • Work competently and safely by complying with relevant H&S requirements, including internal Kleinfelder and external client procedures.

 

About You

We are seeking talented and curious geotechnical engineers who want to advance their career with a global engineering and environmental consultancy. Whilst this role requires no previous industry experience, any related professional experience in geotechnical assessment and site investigation will highly regarded. Ideally, you will bring:

  • A degree in geotechnical or relevant geomechanics engineering.
  • A passion for geotechnical field work.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and the aptitude to confidently liaise with project teams, subcontractors and clients.
  • The ability to deliver to deadlines and within allocated budgets,
  • Safety leadership in the field and a commitment to adopting behavioural based safety programs.
  • The drive to succeed and be a strong contributor to the growth and success of Kleinfelder in Australia.
  • The ability and willingness to travel interstate.
  • A valid Australian (State or Territory) Drivers Licence.
