Graduate Environmental Engineer - Adelaide

 

The Opportunity

We are seeking passionate, curious, and motivated early-career Environmental Engineers, or Scientists with an interest in geoscience/hydrogeology, to join our dynamic team. If you are ready to get hands-on experience and contribute to solving complex environmental issues, this is your opportunity.

 

The role will involve using your technical skills and knowledge on a wide variety of projects for both private sector and government clients including:

  • Executing on-ground field works at a range of sites involving the collection of soil, sediment, soil vapour, surface and groundwater samples, including the supervision of contractors.
  • Assisting on geotechnical field work programs where appropriate
  • Project scoping, proposal writing and fieldwork preparation
  • Undertaking all works consistent with our safety values, systems and procedures
  • Evaluating and distilling field and analytical data
  • Preparing scientific and technical reports
  • Working as part of a broad team to help solve complex environmental issues and develop remediation programs.

This role is offered as a full-time role and offers flexible work arrangements for the right candidate.

 

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on a portfolio of large and complex site assessment and remediation projects for a growing client base.

 

About you

 We are seeking talented and curious engineers who want to advance their career with a global environmental consultancy. You may be a recent graduate, or perhaps you are already in the industry with a couple of years’ experience in contaminated land investigations and remediation. Either way, you will have a demonstrable passion for field-based project work including soil and groundwater sampling, contractor supervision and safety management.

 

Ideally you will bring

  • A degree in environmental engineering or science, geology, or relevant earth sciences.
  • Industry experience 0-2yrs (desired).

  • Effective written and spoken communication skills and the aptitude to confidently liaise with project teams, subcontractors and clients.
  • Safety leadership in the field and commitment to adopting behavioural based safety programs.
  • The drive and commitment to succeed and to be a strong contributor to the growth and success of Kleinfelder in Australia.
  • A full driver’s licence.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally and interstate.
